Bill Gates speaks on outsourcing
Bill Gates was featured on the cover of Time magazine in April 1999. In the
feature article he explained the new rules for companies. This makes for very
interesting reading. Point #9 explains the logic behind outsourcing while
another point talks about why companies should convert all documents to
digital. Bill Gates says: " For Microsoft, outsourcing has been a way to
temper the expansion of our work force and reduce management overhead.I hope
this keeps us from growing big in the wrong areas and becoming ineffective
through too much overhead.
